Inspired by the comment from Fandomzz. :)

One of the longest lasting touches of anime fandom in my room. I purchased the official Sorcerous Stabber Orphen necklace at Anime Expo 2000, and I would wear it on occasion for several years before it really just became a permanent decoration on my wall. It was my first really big anime purchase that wasn’t DVDs, I think…I believe I paid close to $40 for it (which was like 1/3 of my budget that year ::laughs::) Memoriiies~

Also appearing in this picture, my AX08 admission, my United States of Odaiba admission, and a wonderful crocheted ornament by cloverxclover that I soaked in liquefied Solvy to stiffen. :)

So, of course we know that Sherlock Holmes isn’t real. But that doesn’t mean we can’t get in the spirit of the show. All the #believeinsherlock-ers out there aren’t crazy, just a bit committed to a show they love. So long as people stay legal, it shouldn’t be “frightening” to anyone that fans can’t separate reality and Sherlock. We know it’s not real. That didn’t stop all the original Sherlockians after “The Final Problem.” The #believeinsherlock-ers are just trying to repeat some pretty cool history and spread the word. That’s all. Nothing to get upset about.

 This. This exactly. I had a conversation with another Sherlock fan on Omegle who expressed a lot of distaste for the #believeinsherlock fans. I’m not super involved, but I think it’s great and that the people who are really going all out (such as the amazing photoshoot at the actual “221” door in London) are just having a lot of fun. We’re not stupid or delusional, we’re just fans.

It’s called a movement, but what it really is is a great game spanning across the Sherlockian globe. If it’s not your thing, that’s fine, but don’t hate on people for having harmless fun just because you don’t like it. :/

One thing I’ve noticed is that with people who are just seeing the believeinsherlock stuff from the outside, some of them think that real graffiti and public defacement is actually occurring, which I hope doesn’t, because that would go over the line.

Otherwise, keep on fandoming, Sherlock fandom, don’t let the haters stop you. :P

So I signed up for the Small Fandom Bang, with the idea of doing a Cyber Formula mutant AU fic (because I’m not a bit fixated on mutant AUs or anything amirite.) I got about 4000 words in before fizzling, and now I think I see the problem. The intro I chose for the mutant AU really belongs more on a standard fic, but that would mean basically starting over on the mutant AU fic, which I otherwise have completely blocked out.

I started with a smaller version of Jackie sans text, only to discover that my bobbin tension was completely outta wack. So after some fiddling with a screwdriver, I ran big Jackie (plus the random text :P,) and basically, minus a few very minor spacing problems, he turned out pretty much perfect :D

So, I’ve been rewatching Cyber Formula episodes on 4x speed to try and identify cels of mine, but I was reminded rather suddenly of something when I reached Double One: Episode 5. 

So my question is (as also posted on Twitter:)

Some ships develop over time as you watch the characters grow, but has anyone had a ship that just hit you like a brick while watching/reading?

Like the “holy shit, I could totally see them together” moment of awesome.

I’m rewatching Cyber Formula: Double One, and about 5 minutes into episode 5 was my HOLY SHIT I SHIP THEM FOREVER moment for Franz and Jackie. I mean, I remember it hitting me like a sudden thing suddenly over my head. Crazy feeling. xD

Before that point, I really liked the two men’s banter, but it was more in the bromance of violent justice feeling more than shipping it. 

Minor Spoiler for Cyber Formula: Double One, should anyone watch it:

In episode 5 of Double One, Jackie gets knocked off the track and breaks his leg, and Franz does a formal apology to him at the hospital because he’s CONVINCED that something in the car’s design got Jackie hurt. Jackie tells him to knock off the apologies, but Franz is all guilty!pants, and it’s utterly adorable :D There was just something about the scene that made me sign up for the US GuHa (as it’s called in Japan) shipping club of one on the fucking spot.

This is for an anon at 1class_kink who wanted a Cardcaptor Sakura/XMen fusion, and I kind of could not physically restrain myself.

In my head, Kero is played by a tiny plushie version of Hank, whose full true form is BEAST, NATURALLY, with Raven obviously as Tomoyo, and Sean is the kid who lies all the time, and Moira is the girl who beats him up for it, and I don’t remotely know who Alex could be because I haven’t read the series in forever, but Emma and Azazel and Riptide are high school students, and then I kind of lose my train of thought because there aren’t really any villains in CCS, so where does Shaw go? Who cares, Charles is a magical schoolgirl.

I’m totally in love with this :D
