Almost done with the brigandine! I didn’t put enough glue on the sleeve bits, so I’ve gotta go back and fix some of them (as you can see,) then glue the front bottom pieces on. (Gotta do some seam trimming, too, I’ve still got some threads hanging out.)

Then it’s time to FINALLY finish the velvet tunic. Then it’s on to the belt…

Good things about today:

Bought all the things at Fresh and Easy, now have tons of food (and Memorial Day meal stuffs.)
My zucchini plants appear to be resurrecting.
Found my fauxfur that I knew I had somewhere, I need it for my Thorin costume.
Forgetting to switch the record player up from 33 1/3 speed when playing a 45 never gets old.

The Mildly Irritating:

Failed at replacing my UCR Alumni licence plate bracket back on my car.
Found a nick in my windshield.
Am running way behind on costume making, so I’m skipping ScotsFest. Hopefully next year!

Generally Nifty:

Eurovision this year was great, I like almost every song, and some are definite keepers!

My favorites: France, Romania, Denmark, Iceland, Ukraine, Croatia, and Greece. :)

I spent $2700 on this machine back in 2005. I suppose it was time for some issues to start popping up. I need to hold on until after AX, though, I need my baby! xD 

(Also, I have a sneaking suspicion that repairs are going to be $200+)

(Current issues: All lights are out (not a bulb issue, there’s a short somewhere.) and the Reverse button doesn’t work anymore. Luckily, it’s still sewing fine, and I have a Fix button that auto makes a knot, so I can hold on. I don’t trust my Kenmore to sew through the vinyl I need to work on after I get the brigandine and velvet tunic done.
